A group of international journalists and members of the ‘No Other Land’ film team were stopped from entering the Palestinian village of At-Tuwani in the occupied West Bank. One speaker in the video states they came “as accredited international journalists.” However, the area was declared a “closed military area” by the Israeli military the night before.
According to the video, the group had travelled to meet the creators of No Other Land and to be shown the villages featured in the film. The documentary highlights the destruction of Masafer Yatta and includes the voices of both Palestinian activist Basel and Israeli journalist Yuval.
In the footage, Israeli forces – including soldiers, police, and border police – are seen blocking access and warning the group to leave or face “other measures.” One officer calls the group a “public disturbance and also danger.” A Palestinian on site speaks directly to the security forces, saying there are videos of settlers attacking and shooting people, yet journalists are the ones being blocked.
🎥 The video ends with a statement that there is “a lot to hide,” pointing to destruction and settler violence. The speaker accuses the Israeli government of removing people from their land through settlements and demolitions.
